Etsy, a social commerce website focused on handmade or vintage items enjoys over 22 million members and more than 42 million visitors a month in 200 countries. Etsy's workforce is comprised of many different people with unique talents and backgrounds, all of whom represent the global marketplace. Etsy reached out to YAI in hopes of learning more about the talents of individuals with disabilities and the strengths they could offer to their team. Working Now: Darra Interns at Banana Republic
Banana Republic, a member of the iconic GAP Inc. family, recently partnered with YAI and created a paid internship opportunity for Darra. From customer service to stocking, merchandising, and learning the brand identity, Darra had the opportunity to learn first-hand the responsibilities of a retail associate, and is excited about the possibility of becoming a full-time employee.
