What is the YAI Resource Center?
The YAI Resource Center is a Web site that offers easy access to educational resources and training materials while also, enabling you and your colleagues to network and learn from experts in the field.
What topics and age groups are addressed?
The YAI Resource Center consists of more than 150 educational training resources, presentations, manuals, curricula, and lesson plans addressing a full range of age groups from early childhood to geriatric. Each month new resources are added, the following topics are addressed: Aging, Challenging Behaviors, Early Childhood, Community Inclusion, Counseling, Dual Diagnosis, Healthy Lifestyles, Leisure & Crafts, Management, Relationships, Self-Advocacy, Staff Training, Supported Employment, Teaching Techniques, Working with Families
What does a membership entail?
A membership includes one primary account and four sub-accounts. Each account will have its own username and password. Sub-accounts are tied to the expiration date of the primary account. All five accounts can create their own unique preferences; participate in conversations; and download unlimited training resources at anytime.
Is the membership fee non-refundable?
There is a 30-day money back guarantee. If for any reason, you are not satisfied with the YAI Resource Center you will receive a refund for the price of purchase.
What is the process if I would like to contribute?
We know other organizations have wonderful training and teaching materials! A future goal of the Resource Center is to be able to accept materials from other organizations. Please email us using the ‘Contact Us’ page.
What type of software do I need?
You will need to download Adobe Acrobat 9 and a Flash media player.
