Self-Expression

Children with stuffed animals

All over the YAI Network -- in recreation, residential, preschool, employment and day programs -- children, teenagers and adults with disabilities are finding beautiful and new ways to express themselves every day. In fact, for some of the people we serve, painting, drawing, photography or sculpture are their primary modes for expressing their feelings, needs, beliefs and attitudes about the world. Whether it's a fingerpainting by a 3-year-old, a photograph by a teen or an adult's oil painting of Manhattan, art provides an avenue for enrichment and connection with the people and environment around us. Art is also a way that some of our talented staff members share their passions and gifts with the people in their programs.

Enjoy our art galleries; we will always be adding more!
