Partnerships Make the YAI Difference
YAI is committed to the long-term success of every person enrolled in our employment programs. Our role does not end once our program graduates are hired. We know that some of the most important training happens on the job and we are there to make sure that both the employee and his or her employer are successful. Our friendly, knowledgeable job coaches are on-site as often as they are needed to ensure that our graduates and their supervisors and co-workers are comfortable, productive and positive. What makes YAI so successful in creating employment opportunities for people with disabilities?
We go beyond creating jobs for our graduates: We develop strong relationships with the companies and organizations that hire them so that employers share our mission of creating hope and opportunity for people with disabilities. We offer:
- Optional sensitivity training to new employers, so that they and their staff may learn more about working with people who have disabilities
- Knowledgeable job coaches who are committed to the success of both of YAI’s clients: our program graduates who are seeking jobs and the businesses that hire them
- Opportunities for companies to learn more about and become involved with the YAI family through volunteer activities and community events
