The New Jersey Council on Developmental Disabilities (NJCDD) will be processing requests for electronic devices for adults (21 and older) with intellectual and or developmental disabilities (I/DD) enrolled with the NJ Division of Developmental Disabilities Community Care Program or Supports Program.
NJCDD modified an existing contract with The Arc of New Jersey in response to the continued COVID-19 Pandemic to assist in this effort. Reimbursement requests are limited to electronic devices, as specified in this notice, to support the needs of adults (21 and over) and allow them to connect with activities in the following areas:
- Advocacy Engagement – join in advocacy efforts on a local, state, or national level
- Health and Wellness – telehealth appointments, therapies, and access to healthy living activities
- Education and Socialization Activities– connections with support groups, family, friends, and peers to alleviate anxiety due to social distancing, and/or increase positive shared experiences. Participation in classes and skill-building virtual activities.
