The Legal Aid Society's Access to Benefits Helpline (A2B) is a “one-stop” resource for New Yorkers in need of legal assistance to obtain government benefits. The hotline is open Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Interpreters are available for all languages.
A2B staff can assist NYC residents with:
- Disability and other benefits and issues related to COVID-19
- HRA public assistance
- Employment and unemployment benefits matters
- Issues related to Medicaid/health law
- Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)
- Callers in need of disaster relief
