Overnight Respite


Overnight Respite offers the opportunity for caregivers of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to receive a break from their daily care-taking responsibilities while offering participants opportunities to be more independent from their families. Stay time can range from weekend to weeklong, including opportunities to spend school vacations. Nutritious meals and recreational activities are provided on-site and in the community.

Applicants must have OPWDD eligibility and reside with family in Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, or Long Island. Age restrictions vary by county.
