Through YAI Arts & Culture, Describe! offers live audio descriptions of Broadway and Off-Broadway shows, making theater accessible to people who are blind or visually impaired. Tickets are available at discounted prices. Seating is typically in the orchestra section and theater staff assist as needed. Patrons use audio receivers to hear description details facilitated by a trained describer using a transmitter to provide pre-show notes about the theater, scenery, costumes, and more. They’ll also receive detailed narration during the show between stage dialogue.
