Free Psychological, Psychosocial, and Autism Assessments
Providing free diagnostic evaluations for Brooklyn, Queens, and Manhattan residents. Eligibility criteria varies with different boroughs, but all applicants must not be eligible for Medicaid. Reach out to us to find out if you're eligible.
Friday Night Live is a weekly socialization program for young adults aged 18-28 living at home. Activities provide opportunities for socialization, relationship building, and the development of social skills and independence. Activities occur on-site as well as at various community locations and include dinners out, bowling, movies, etc.
YAI’s psychological testing unit conducts Guardianship Determination Assessments for parents seeking to obtain legal guardianship of their child once they turn age 18. As part of the assessment, a YAI licensed psychologist completes the Surrogate Court of New York 17-A Affidavit of Examining Psychologist to indicate whether guardianship is warranted.
Hankering for More began in 2004 because Hank Geiling—like all of us—wanted friends and a meaningful social life. Hank was unable to find people to connect with, so his sister-in-law Jennifer Geiling took action!
A school break recreation program for children aged 6-18 years old. Providing community activities and socialization opportunities in a 3:1 staffing ratio.
Applicants will need to reside at home with their family in the Bronx or Manhattan and have OPWDD eligibility to enroll in this service.
