The old adage is true: home is where the heart is. And for residents of YAI Network’s Tiffany Place, home is also a place where friendships are developed and where long-lasting relationships are cemented. Over the past decade, Tiffany Place has provided residents with comfort, security and family.

Recently, Tiffany Place Residence opened its doors to friends, family members and YAI staff to celebrate the program’s 10-year anniversary - a truly momentous occasion and noteworthy milestone in today’s struggling economy. Guests, including former residents who now live independently in YAI supportive apartments, shared their favorite memories while enjoying food and music amongst friends.

Wilfred Daly, a staff member since the program opened on April 16, 2000, explained why the festivities and working for YAI meant so much to him: “I’ve watched residents grow new skills and more confidence. When you never hesitate to go into work- that’s when you know you’re in the right job.”

The dedication of direct service professionals like Wilfred ensures that YAI residents are offered optimal care and support while maintaining their independence, for many years to come.
