YAI has been awarded a grant from the New York State Department of Transportation to provide a comprehensive travel training program for people across the New York metropolitan area which includes:

• Training for staff from I/DD agencies on the travel training process. See upcoming events and register below.

• Mobility management training for people with I/DD. 

  • To refer someone to our travel training program you must first attend a 45-minute Travel Training Information Session. All required paperwork and the stages of training will be reviewed during this session.  No referrals will be considered outside of this information session.  

  • Information Session registration will open here on the 1st of every month beginning on January 1st, 2024.   

This is a funded program so YAI is able to offer this training to other I/DD agencies FREE OF CHARGE.
