Creating resilient systems of support

YAI specializes in building local, corporate, and national systems that benefit people with I/DD and their families. We conduct short-term engagements, needs assessments, and complete overhauls of existing service structures. In two recent projects with the Saudi government and regional nonprofit agencies, YAI devised two delivery systems to benefit communities in need of support that included population assessment, service menu recommendations, facilities and staff planning, and financing recommendations.

Because of YAI’s size, each consulting engagement is staffed with both leaders who know every part of the I/DD support landscape and direct support staff who provide hands-on care. We have Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council and are familiar with both the UN’s Convention on the Rights of People with Disabilities and Sustainable Development Goals.
