AHRC Sobriety Services

Share

AHRC’s Community Hubsite Program provides sobriety services for people with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities (I/DD). The program addresses the needs of adults ready to take an active role in their community. Socialization and vocational training is provided through community volunteerism and a skills-building program that begins each day with individuals gathering at over 30 storefront sites throughout Nassau County. Volunteers assist the elderly and frail homebound by shopping for groceries and other errands. Individuals provide support for one another as they become better prepared to navigate an adult world. Clinical support is provided on-site and a small staff to individual ratio is provided. Individuals work on their personal goal plans toward becoming more productive and effective.
