Supporting Children With Autism During the Coronavirus Outbreak
The Child Mind Institue has created tips to supporting children with autism during the coronavirus outbreak. Tips include developing routines, maintaining goals, promoting social communication and personal independence, schedules and an emergency plan for children with Autism during the Coronavirus pandemic.
UFT Free Mental Health Hotline
UFT has expanded the BRAVE hotline to provide general mental health support for New York City public school students and their families. If you call 212.709.3222 on any weekday between 2:30 and 9:30 p.m., you'll reach a licensed mental health provider.

NY COVID-19 Legal Resource Hotline
NYLAG has launched the NY COVID-19 Legal Resource Hotline to help NYC residents impacted by COVID-19 to get answers to their legal questions. The hotline is open Monday-Friday, from 10am-1pm.

NYC Well Suicide Prevention Resources
The Suicide Prevention Resources document from NYC Well provides helpful mental health information and resources for suicide prevention during the COVID-19 crisis. It includes prevention tips, how to help others, warning signs, creating a suicide safety plan, and where to seek support if you are feeling overwhelmed and how to look after your emotional well-being.
OMH COVID Emergency Telemental Health and Program Guidance
The New York State Office of Mental Health (OMH) has issued the OMH COVID Emergency Telemental Health and Program Guidance. In response to New York States declaration of an emergency, OMH created guidelines for emergency telemental health services as well as program guidance, effective March 7th, 2020.

Standby Guardianship Information
A Standby Guardian is someone a parent or legal guardian can appoint as a temporary guardian of their minor child. It is valid for 60 days from the "triggering event." This law firm's site provides an informational video and forms on how to ensure care of a minor child if a parent or legal guardian should fall ill and become unable to care for them.

Extreme Kids & Crew is offering Extreme Kids & Crew Virtual Programming. These are interactive online programs for children and teens with disabilities, their parents and other family members. Programs focus on topics such as storytime, socialization, parent support, book clubs, exercise and more.
Keoni Movement Arts Online Classes
Keoni Movement Arts is an organization that offers accessible yoga, gymnastics and dance classes to individuals of all ages with disabilities in the greater New York City Area. Keoni Movement Arts is now offering Keoni Movement Arts Online classes for yoga and dance. To sign up for virtual yoga and dance classes, visit the online calendar located on the website.
COVID-19 Preparations for Medically Complex Children
Complex Child, a monthly online magazine, has created COVID-19 preperations for medically complex children. There are 10 suggested tips for families of children with complex medical needs to follow during the COVID-19 pandemic. As states shut down and issue shelter-in-place orders, it is critical for families of children who are medically complex to prepare as much as possible. Tips include creating an emergency plan for your child, creating a care plan or manual for your child, setting up Telehealth visits, and making pharmacy plans.

Advocates for Children has a listing of New York City Department of Education (DOE) updates, including information on Remote Learning Plans for students with disabilities, Early Intervention services, IEP meetings, and remote learning resources.

Hospital Preparation Forms for People with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities
Hospital Preparation Forms for People with Intellecutal/Developmental Disabilities are available to download in every state and provide important information about a person with I/DD. These COVID-19 disability forms should be completed proactively prior to seeking medical attention for COVID-19 symptoms at any hospital.
