Thousands of people will gather in Central Park Challenge on Saturday, June 6, 2015, for YAI and Broadview Networks Central Park Challenge to support people with developmental disabilities and their families. Activities take place near the Naumburg Bandshell, 72nd St. transverse.

Schedule of activities:
  • YAI and Broadview Networks Central Park Challenge, 8:30 a.m. – noon)
  •  2nd Annual Thomas A. Dern 5K Run, 9 a.m. start (Named in memory of our C.O.O.), near Tavern on the Green.
  • 3K Fundraising Walk, 9:45 a.m. start
  • Children’s Play Area, open 9 a.m. – noon
  • Junior All-American Races, ages 2-12, 10:45 a.m. lineup, near Bethesda Fountain

Changing the World is a Walk in the Park. YAI and Broadview Networks Central Park Challenge is much more than a fundraiser; it is an opportunity to educate society that no one should be judged or labeled based on their deficits. The individuals who receive support from YAI are no different. Everyone wants the same basic things in life — a nice place to live, friendships and relationships, a good job and the opportunity to learn more skills
