WHAT:            YAI and Broadview Networks Central Park Challenge, 8:30 a.m. – noon

  • 3rd Annual Thomas A. Dern 5K Run, 9 a.m. start; on-site registration opens 7:30 a.m. (Named in memory of our C.O.O.)
  • 3K Fundraising Walk, 9:45 a.m .start
  • Children’s Play Area, open 9 a.m. – noon
  • Junior All-American Races, ages 2-12, 10:45 a.m. lineup

WHERE:          Central Park, near the Naumburg Bandshell, 72nd St. transverse

WHY:              The Central Park Challenge is much more than a fundraiser; it is an opportunity to educate society that no one should be judged or labeled based on their deficits. The people who receive support from YAI are no different. Everyone wants the same basic things in life – a nice home, friendships and relationships, a good job and the opportunity to learn. With YAI’s support, people with intellectual and developmental disabilities can achieve a full life.
