I met Car'Melo Grau Puig through YAI’s Self Advocacy 10 years ago. We go to the Disability Pride Parade, Gay Pride Parade, and Central Park Challenge.  

I went to the YAI newsletter committee with Car'Melo 6 years ago, then I went to the independent living skills program (ILSP) with Car'Melo 5 years ago.  

Car'Melo is my best friend from YAI Self Advocacy. Car'Melo is the best man at YAI. I have a disability, but I pay attention and follow directions from Car'Melo at Self Advocacy, the newsletter, and ILSP Group from YAI.  

Car'Melo is the vice president for Self Advocacy. Car'Melo says, "We don't talk about it, you be about it." I took a picture of Car'Melo at the Disability Hip Hop Jam. I like Car'Melo from YAI Self Advocacy. I would like to see more of Car’Melo because I miss him very much.
