February 4, 2026 was a special event of the Muppet Show. The show was celebrating being on air since 1976, which was 50 years ago. The show used the main characters, Kermit the Frog, Miss piggy, The Great Gonzo, Fozzie Bear, Scooter, Animal, and Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem, and of course some special and silly characters who were voiced by Jim Henson, the creator of the Muppets with Frank Oz. These characters included Sam the Eagle, the Swedish Chef, Rizzo the Rat, Pepe the King Prawn, and Kermit’s Nephew Robin the frog. They had so many sketches with laughter, pranks and humor,  like pigs in space, Veterinarian's Hospital, and Muppets Lab, The Muppets even invited certain celebrities as special guests throughout each episode in certain sketches, The first episode debuted on September 5, 1976, with Joel Grey. The show’s 120 had guest stars like John Cleese, Dom DeLuise, George Burns, Bernadette Peters, Steve Martin, Sylvester Stallone, Julie Andrews, Elton John, Alice Cooper, Carol Burnett and Leslie Uggams who met up with Big Bird.

The Show itself concluded on March 15, 1981, but the Muppets continued acting till February 4, 2026. They did a special return event with 3 special guests -- Sabrina Carpenter, Maya Rudolph, and Seth Rogen. This event was designed to determine if the show would someday return. At the end of the show, the Muppets sang their own version of the band Queen’s “Don’t Stop Me Now”. I hope the Muppet Show returns to television because I want to see more funny performances and new guest stars. And with a little luck I would like for the Muppets to come to YAI events and watch them on how they helping everyone out.
