On Sunday, February 8th, 2026 was the day of the 60th Superbowl. It took place at the Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California. The two teams squaring off against each other were the National Football Conference Champions, the Seattle Seahawks and the American Football Conference Champions. They were playing against the New England Patriots. This year was also Bad Bunny’s first time performing in the Superbowl. The National Football League also announced the man of the year award to Bobby Wagner of the Washington Commanders.

A week before the game, Bad Bunny won the Album of the Year Award at the 2026 Grammy for his new album “DeBi TiRAR Mas FOToS,” which is Spanish for “I should have taken more photos.” It was the first time that a Spanish album was nominated. Bad Bunny gave an acceptance speech and thanked his people in Puerto Rico for supporting him and his career. He thanked his mother for giving birth to him.

There were 2 other events during Superbowl week. The first one was the Superbowl Experience Convention at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, and the 2026 Pro Bowl Game.

The big game pre-game ceremony started off with Coco Jones singing “Lift Every Voice and “Sing.”  Green Day sang “American Idiot,” and Brandi Carlile sang “America the Beautiful,” while Charlie Puth sang the National Anthem, they even had American Sign language performers. There were also celebrities at the Superbowl like movie actors Adam Sandler, Chris Platt, rapper Jay-Z, singer Justin Bieber, and guitarist Jon Bon Jovi.

The game itself started out in the 1st half with the Seahawks in the lead by 9 points, while the Patriots didn’t score at all.

The half-time show started with Bad Bunny performing  a few of his songs, and there was also a group of dancers along with special guest performers Ricky Martin and Lady Gaga. The football arena was turned into a Puerto Rican tropical street. There was also an actual wedding with an actual bride and groom. The end of the show he also showed a lot of people with many flags from Latino and Caribbean countries, including Dominican Republic, Mexico, Puerto Rico, and Nicaragua.

After the halftime show, the game resumed with Seahawks in the lead. However, the Patriots began to make some points. But at the end of the game the Seahawks won the game with 29 points, while the patriots had only 13 points.

After the game there was a celebration. And in New York, the Latinos and Puerto Rican New Yorkers were celebrating, mainly for Bad Bunny’s Performance.

Hopefully Superbowl 2027 will be exciting also. It’ll take place again in California, only next year it’ll be at the Sofi Stadium in Inglewood. I can’t wait to see who the teams are going to be and who’s going to be performing in the half-time show.
