May 31st was my fourth year at the Central Park Challenge in person and my fifth year total. I began co-hosting Central Park Challenge in 2021 during Covid alongside Bill Ritter, which was good for me. After that in 2022 I began my co-hosting at the Bandshell along with my co-workers, and I got better at doing interviews.

This year was very good for me because I have been doing more interviews and ask good questions this year. I even got a chance to interview Geraldo Rivera, a former news reporter, journalist and author as he was discussing about how he had exposed Willowbrook on their actions in 1972. In Willowbrook there was so much abusing, which made Geraldo begin to motivate himself into helping and support individuals with disabilities. At that time he even did a documentary called Willowbrook: The Last Great Disgrace.
There were so many performances and special awards at Central Park Challenge, including “The Bert and Pearl MacLeech Advocacy Awards.” One award was given to a member of the Sesame Workshop, which was a surprise to me because I saw toddlers walking on stage in their Sesame Street costumes.
The events were good, including the junior races and the 3k walk. I even have been doing the walk for 4 years. It is such a shame that the Blue Man Group couldn't come this year.
But next year it’ll be better and good because my next 3k walk will be my fifth year at the Bandshell and hopefully I’ll get to do more interviews with celebrities and special guests at the CPC.
