Shiloh Hendrix may seem like an ordinary mother when you first hear about her. However, she did something truly awful to a disabled person that gained media attention. She also tried to make herself seem better again after her incident, and surprisingly, got support. What was this incident, and why did it make her look like a bad person?

One day at a playground, Shiloh accused an autistic Black child of stealing her son’s things. Because of this, she thought it was okay to swear and say a slur at the 5-year-old boy. A man who was filming this was appalled at the choices Shiloh made and kept questioning her about them.

After the video surfaced, people were angry at what Shiloh did. So what does Shiloh do next? Astonishingly, she created a GoFundMe to raise $700k to support her family. And believe it or not, people actually donated to this racist and possibly ableist woman.

It disgusts me thinking about how Shiloh thought she was in the right by doing this. This just goes to show that some people think they’re privileged enough to make awful choices, and can shockingly gain supporters who think the same as them, even if they did something as bad as calling someone a slur for allegedly stealing their kid’s things. I hope she actually gets what she deserves for insulting such an innocent child.
