The Dangerous Heat showed up on Wednesday July 1 and stayed until Sunday July 5. The heat came back on Tuesday July 14th and lasted until Thursday July 16. It was very hot outside. The temperature was 90 to 100 degrees, one of the hottest summers on record. I have disability, but I was staying home. I turned on my air conditioner, to stay cool indoors. I listened to the weather forecast on TV about the dangerous heat. I took plenty of water when I went to work. So I stayed hydrated. 4th of July was the hottest day of all. I did not go to hot dog eating contest or parade of sails. I wore my light shorts, summer hat, sandal, sunscreen, sunglasses, a-shirt and t-shirt for hottest day. When the heat is dangerous, I stay inside my house. I went shopping early in the morning before the dangerous heat. If it's hot outside, I make iced tea, lemonade, fruity water, slush, soda float or iced coffee to stay cool. You’ve got to stay safe in New York when the temperature gets really bad.
