On Saturday, July 4th, my mom and I drove from Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn to Ozone Park, Queens to visit my boyfriend Franco. So when we got to his house I got out of the car and ran into Franco’s arms because I was so happy to see him. Then I went back to the car and helped my mom get out because she had a problem with her leg. Plus, we had to get a few things out of the back seat. After that, we had to get Franco’s mom a birthday cake. So we all went shopping and brought Franco’s mom a nice birthday cake.
Then we went back to his house and went inside to watch some tv. After that, we went shopping for a little while before the barbecue. So we were celebrating not just the 4th of July, but we were also celebrating Franco’s mom’s birthday. We had a lot of food and then his sister treated us and the kids to ice cream before the rest of the dessert came out. While we were getting the desserts ready, we also got stuff ready for the fireworks.
But Franco and I went inside the house to watch the Macy’s 4th of July fireworks on television because we don't like the smoke. It was very loud. After the show was over, I told my mom that I was ready to go home, so I packed up all my stuff with me. Then Franco and his mom and brother walked us to the car and he watched us drive off.
I love his family so very much. I can't wait for next year’s 4th of July fireworks. When I got home, I called him just to let him know that we got back safely to Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn.
