On the evening of October 24, 2025, the Yonkers Public Library hosted the second annual Halloween Party for adults with developmental disabilities.

The night started with a Zumba dance class. Then there was music to dance to all night long. They even had karaoke. I sang the Ghost Busters song.

They served pizza, soda, juice, or water, popcorn and cotton candy. They had plenty of Halloween candy too.

It was nice to socialize with different people and talk to new people.

You didn’t need to come in costume but there was a costume contest that we all got to vote on. I was a butterfly, but I didn’t win.

There was a photo background, and you could get your picture taken with a polaroid camera and bring it home.
