The START (Systemic, Therapeutic, Assessment, Resources, and Treatment) Model will be in place in Mercer County and 10 others – Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester, Middlesex, Monmouth, Ocean, and Salem.
DHS Commissioner Adelman says that START is a nationally recognized model that helps individuals and families get the right support at the right time, reducing reliance on emergency rooms and law enforcement.
