Executive Director, iHOPE
Having served as Director of Vision Education Services at iHOPE since 2016, Shani Chill transitioned to the role of Principal in 2021, at a time of transition for iHOPE. The school is currently preparing to relocate to a new, custom-designed location in Midtown Manhattan. Chill holds a Master of Science from New York University in Communications, Arts and Sciences and a Master of Arts from Hunter College in Special Education: Blind & Visually Impaired. She brings with her a belief that every person deserves access and agency, regardless of their abilities. As Principal of iHOPE, she prioritizes creating an environment where students can learn and thrive while they build self-advocacy skills. Chill is currently in a post-graduate program working toward a School Building Leader certificate at Molloy College.
