Thomas Salvo

Chief Human Resources Officer

Thomas Salvo is responsible for shaping a sustainable, engaged workforce that supports YAI's mission of serving people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. He brings more than two decades of HR leadership experience, most recently as Head of Human Resources and Workforce Development at Kinexion, where he set people strategy and built scalable HR infrastructure across a network of seven companies. Tom's background also includes senior HR leadership roles at Heartshare, Public Health Solutions, Northwell Health, and Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where he built deep expertise in workforce planning, employee relations, talent development, and organizational transformation, including leading complex change across highly regulated, multi-site environments.

He is motivated to combine strategic vision with hands-on execution, modernizing HR operations and centralizing systems while strengthening leadership capability at every level of an organization. At YAI, he is focused on building a culture of trust and consistency that supports both frontline staff and the people YAI supports. Tom holds a Master of Science with Distinction in Human Resources Management and Labor Relations from the New York Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Arts from Hofstra University, and he is a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR).
