Project GROW

Project GROW offers group training for parents and unpaid caregivers (i.e.: siblings, grandparents, aunts, uncles) of children and adults with developmental disabilities. The groups focus on teaching specific behavior techniques to promote positive family interactions and improved communication that can be utilized throughout the lifespan. Peer support is also provided.
Behavior Management topics include:
- Family roles and structure
- Analyzing behavior
- The power of attention
- The truth about consequences
- Caring for the caregiver
Groups focusing on toilet training available based on interest.
Groups are available to families caring for people with I/DD living with them in the Bronx and take place in the Bronx at YAI and community sites.
