Eligibility Information Center

For people residing in New York State the majority of YAI's services are funded by the Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD). Therefore, someone must meet OPWDD's eligibility criteria in order to access services. Understanding eligibility for services can be challenging and is something YAI LINK can help you understand. We have created some online tools to help people get started with their eligibility journey.

To help you understand where to start, you can take a few minutes and complete our eligibility survey, watch the videos below, or take a look at our acronym guide to unravel the secrets of all the acronyms used in the I/DD Intellectual and/or Developmental Disability field. You are also welcome to call YAI LINK at 212.273.6182 and an Information Specialist will help to determine your next steps in accessing supports and services.
