About Us

YAI Arts Studios is a nonprofit studio program for artists with disabilities based in New York City. We provide artists with studio space, materials, and mentorship, supporting them in expressing their unique perspectives, deepening their creative practices, forging connections, achieving their goals, and growing careers as artists.

We offer two studio programs. YAI Arts Tuesday Open Studio — which meets once a week — and Without Walls (WOW) Studio — open five days a week.

YAI Artists in both programs have the opportunity to exhibit and sell their work. Artists directly receive 60% of the profits of every piece sold, with 40% going back to the studio. YAI Artists have exhibited at the Museum of Modern Art, Sotheby’s, the Museum of Everything, Spring Break Art Show, and other galleries around the world. Their work is featured on t-shirts, socks, and a larger than-life mural at YAI Headquarters.

Without Walls Studio

Without Walls (WOW) Studio offers personalized mentorship to identify and curate programs around individual creative, personal, and professional goals. Artists engage in individual projects alongside workshops, lectures, critiques, and local art excursions.
