Jennifer Hensley has been an Occupational Therapist for 10 years and joined iHOPE in 2016, becoming Director of Occupational Therapy in 2022. Her work focuses on modifications, assistive technology, advocacy, and training. Jennifer enjoys tackling environmental barriers that impact engagement in school, home, and community settings. She is also a guest lecturer for Occupational Therapy university programs and presents at national conferences on topics related to technology, accessibility, and transition. Jennifer specializes in pediatric therapy, with expertise in seating and positioning, assistive technology, power mobility, environmental assessment and modification, and sexuality education. Passionate about continuous learning, she actively explores emerging research to enhance therapeutic outcomes for iHOPE students. She has also developed and supported multiple clinics, including the Equipment, Power Chair, Brace, and Access Clinics. Jennifer holds an MS in Occupation Therapy and a BS in Marketing and Communication, both from Ithaca College. She lives in Brooklyn with Freddy, the famous iHOPE dog.
