Elsa Torrens

Paraprofessional Manager, Middle School, iHOPE

Elsa Torrens began working at iHOPE as a paraprofessional in 2019 and has since grown tremendously in her department. Elsa’s compassion and understanding only strengthened while she worked one-on-one with students with intellectual and developmental disabilities, pressing her to take on new roles and responsibilities in the organization. In 2021, she became a Head Paraprofessional, where she completed the Intervener Program and American Sign Language (ASL) 1, gaining knowledge to assist in supporting iHOPE students with combined vision and hearing loss. In 2025, she accepted the role of Paraprofessional Manager, bringing with her strong leadership experience and a deep commitment to supporting students and staff. During her free time, Elsa enjoys baking treats and learning new recipes to share with her family and friends.
