Premier HealthCare responds to COVID-19 emergency:

As New York grapples with the novel coronavirus crisis, Premier HealthCare is open to patients with chronic conditions in need of care. Premier’s doctors and nurses provide a full range of clinical services. We are administering CDC tests for COVID-19 to those who meet NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene guidelines for testing. Premier remains open for all other sick visits. Patients should contact our call center to speak to a nurse and make an appointment. In addition Premier provides Telehealth services for people unable to make office visits in-person.

During this emergency, we have consolidated services at our Midtown Manhattan, Remsen Street, and Nostrand Avenue clinics in Brooklyn. All services, including Telehealth, can be accessed by calling our central appointment line: 212.273.6272.

Premier HealthCare offers primary care and specialty outpatient services to everyone and specializes in supporting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. At our five New York City locations, we offer outpatient healthcare services that include: primary care, dentistry, pediatrics, psychiatry, podiatry, neurology, and ophthalmology. Through YAI's Center for Specialty Therapy, patients can receive additional services, including psychological testing, occupational, physical, and speech therapies, and nutritional services, among others. Our doctors and nurses are not only outstanding medical professionals, they are also uniquely trained to care for patients with disabilities. What type of insurance do you take?

Do you only provide services for people with I/DD?

Our doctors and nurses are not only outstanding medical professionals, they are also uniquely trained to care for patients with disabilities. While we primarily support people with I/DD, we can also see family members who might also be interested in receiving medical services with the same doctor and/or at the same facility. How do I make an appointment?

Currently, new patients all start with a short intake over the phone to ensure we can support your needs and that your insurance will cover the service(s) you are seeking. You can call 212.273.6272 to start the process.

I need speech, OT and/or PT services, can you help with that?

Yes, we can provide therapeutic services at one of our many locations throughout NYC, at this time we do not provide these services in-home. Call 212.273.6272 for more information or to put in a referral.

I need evaluations to apply for OPWDD eligibility, but I don’t have Medicaid, can you help?

If your insurance won’t cover the psychological and psychosocial evaluations needed, and you don’t qualify for Medicaid, there may be ways to get the evaluations. To discuss your options call 212.273.6182.
